This coin was issued in 2010 by the French Republic to commemorate the Charles DeGaulle's Radio Speech on June 18th, 1940. This speech was given after the French defeat against Nazi Germany. However in his speech Charles de Gaulle said the war was not over and it is considered to be the beginning of the French resistance.
The obverse side of the coin shows Charles de Gaulle giving a speech. The reverse side displays a map of Europe.
