This coin was issued in 2009 by the Finnish Republic to celebrate the 10th Anniversary of the European Monetary Union. The obverse side of the coin shows a stick figure which merges into the € symbol. This symbolizes the monetary union between members of the European Union. The reverse side displays a map of Europe.
Each country that used the Euro in 2009 as their official currency, had it's own version of this coin.
